Japanese car brands continue to dominate the Indian automobile market, mainly led by Maruti Suzuki, which holds a 42% market share. Strong customer trust and reliability have helped Japanese companies collectively secure a massive 52% share in India.
Domestic brands Tata and Mahindra together hold 27%, while Korean brands Hyundai and Kia account for 17%. European brands have a 3% share, and Chinese brands stand at just 1%. Maruti Suzuki’s strong customer connection remains the key driver of Japan’s dominance in India.
