

Gold prices continued their upward trend last week, rising by nearly 8%. Expectations that the US Federal Reserve may not raise key interest rates, along with signs of easing tensions in West Asia, supported the rise in gold prices. Market experts expect the upward trend to continue this week, with prices potentially moving closer to the ₹1.6 lakh mark. According to Goodreturns, as of 6:30 AM on August 10, the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold in Hyderabad was ₹1,52,340, while 22-carat gold was ₹1,39,640 and 18-carat gold was ₹1,14,250.
In Telangana, the prices were the same in Warangal, Nizamabad and Khammam at ₹1,52,340 for 24-carat gold, ₹1,39,640 for 22-carat gold and ₹1,14,250 for 18-carat gold. In Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Guntur, Kakinada and Tirupati recorded ₹1,52,370 for 24-carat gold, ₹1,39,640 for 22-carat gold and ₹1,14,250 for 18-carat gold.
Among major cities, Chennai recorded ₹1,51,630 for 24-carat gold, ₹1,38,990 for 22-carat and ₹1,17,140 for 18-carat gold. Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Kerala and Pune recorded ₹1,52,340, ₹1,39,640 and ₹1,14,250 respectively for 24-, 22- and 18-carat gold. Delhi and Jaipur recorded ₹1,52,540, ₹1,39,840 and ₹1,14,450, while Vadodara recorded ₹1,52,440, ₹1,39,740 and ₹1,14,350. Lucknow also recorded ₹1,52,540 for 24-carat, ₹1,39,840 for 22-carat and ₹1,14,450 for 18-carat gold.
