Green Signal for Mega Data Centre in Telangana

Telangana is set to host a massive ₹60,000 crore Data Centre Park, with Fortune Hospitality and Infra LLP proposing the project. The facility, with a planned capacity of 1,200–1,600 MW, will be developed on 170 acres of land allocated by the state government at Thimmaipally in Kandukur Mandal, Ranga Reddy district. The project will be implemented through Fortune's sister company, Sudiksha Estates LLP.

Once completed, the project is expected to become one of the largest data centre clusters in India. It is projected to generate direct employment for around 1,000 people and indirect jobs for 3,000–4,000 people. Hyderabad has already emerged as a major data centre hub, attracting investments from global technology giants such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft.

The proposed data centre park is expected to strengthen sectors including IT, cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), fintech, digital services, power infrastructure, and fibre connectivity. With a planned capacity of 1,200–1,600 MW, officials say it could rank among the world's largest data centre parks and significantly boost Telangana's ability to attract global technology investments.
