Honda Expands India Line-Up With 10 Two-Wheelers, Introduces EVs and E-Clutch Technology

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has announced a major expansion of its two-wheeler portfolio with 10 models for the domestic market, including seven all-new offerings and three updated models. The line-up covers scooters, roadsters, cruisers and adventure motorcycles, with ICE, electric and flex-fuel powertrain options. Honda plans to manufacture the models locally to meet the requirements of Indian customers and introduce them in phases. Pricing and availability will be announced closer to the respective launches. Key additions include the ADV160 adventure scooter with a 160cc liquid-cooled engine and E85 ethanol compatibility, the retro-styled CB500, Rebel 300 and Rebel 500 cruisers, along with the XR300L and XR300 Rally adventure motorcycles.

Honda is also strengthening its electric portfolio with the QC3 EV, equipped with a 3 kWh battery that is claimed to deliver a range of up to 151 km on a single charge. It can charge from 0 to 80 per cent in around 2.4 hours and features a 5-inch TFT display and smart key. Another notable addition is Honda’s E-Clutch technology, designed to make riding easier, particularly in heavy traffic. The system automatically manages clutch operation, allowing riders to shift gears without using the clutch lever manually.
