A New Boost to Telangana Railway Development

Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy inaugurated the Komuravelli pilgrimage railway station on July 26, 2026. Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar, public representatives, and South Central Railway officials attended the event. A two-minute silence was observed in tribute to Kargil martyrs. Built at a cost of ₹6 crore, the station is expected to improve connectivity for devotees visiting the Komuravelli Mallanna Temple.

The Siddipet–Secunderabad DEMU train was flagged off, marking a new phase in regional transport development. Bandi Sanjay stated that ₹5,454 crore has been allocated to Telangana in the 2026–27 railway budget. Projects like new lines, doubling, and high-speed rail will enhance connectivity. Kishan Reddy also suggested additional platforms and shuttle bus services for pilgrims.
