Tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan have escalated once again following reported airstrikes on civilian areas inside Afghan territory. According to Taliban officials, Pakistani forces carried out attacks targeting residential zones, leading to multiple casualties. The incident has further strained already fragile relations between the two neighboring countries.
Afghan government spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid stated that the airstrikes took place after midnight on Tuesday in the Khost, Kunar, and Paktika provinces. He confirmed that at least 13 people, including 11 children, a woman, and an elderly man, lost their lives, while 14 others sustained serious injuries. Pakistan has not yet issued any official statement regarding these allegations.
