AI Attendance System in AP Schools

The Andhra Pradesh Education Department has introduced an AI-based attendance system in schools. The pilot project has begun in Mangalagiri, Tadepalli, and Vijayawada, and will soon be expanded across the state. The system uses facial recognition technology to automatically mark student attendance through group photos.

Officials said the new system will save time and improve accuracy and transparency in attendance records. It is seen as a major step toward digitizing the school education system in the state.
