AI services for newborn health in Andhra Pradesh

Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav announced that AI-based services will be used in Andhra Pradesh to monitor newborn health indicators. Mobile applications will be used to record details such as weight, height, and other health parameters of infants. The ‘Shishu Mapan’ app will be integrated with the ASHA app for this purpose.

He said training programs for ASHA workers and ANMs have begun in the Mangalagiri constituency. Based on the results of this pilot project, the government plans to expand AI-based newborn health monitoring services across the state.
