Air India Flight Hits Severe Turbulence Near Delhi

An Air India flight operating from Phuket to Delhi narrowly avoided a major accident after encountering severe turbulence shortly before landing. According to the airline, the aircraft suddenly dropped nearly 300 feet due to strong air currents, causing intense turbulence inside the cabin. The incident left 10 passengers and four crew members injured. Despite the unexpected situation, the pilot maintained control of the aircraft and landed it safely at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport.

Medical teams were already on standby when the aircraft arrived and immediately shifted the injured passengers and crew members to a nearby hospital for treatment. Air India confirmed that all passengers are safe and that the injured are receiving proper medical care. The airline also stated that it is fully cooperating with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), which has launched an investigation into the incident.
