Serious allegations of corruption have surfaced in the Anganwadi recruitment process in Anantapur district. Brokers are reportedly demanding at least ₹3 lakh per post, with middlemen allegedly using political names to collect money. CDPOs and supervisors are also accused of involvement in irregularities, raising concerns over transparency.
Out of 519 applications received for 239 posts, 471 candidates were found eligible and interviews have already been conducted. However, allegations of bribery during the final selection stage have caused concern among applicants. Officials have urged candidates not to pay any money, assuring that the selection process will remain transparent.
