AP Extends Deadline for Liquor Shop Applications

The Andhra Pradesh Excise Department has extended the deadline for submitting applications for liquor shops. As per the original schedule, the application process was scheduled to close on Thursday, but the department has now extended the deadline to October 6. The applications will be scrutinised on October 7, while the licence holders will be selected through a lottery on October 8.

The government had recently issued a notification for the allotment of 807 liquor shops across Andhra Pradesh. According to the information available, the deadline was extended as the number of applications received so far was not considered sufficient. Further details regarding the selection process and the final allotment will be announced by the Excise Department as per the schedule.
