The Andhra Pradesh government has sanctioned funds for flood prevention works in the Mangalagiri-Tadepalli region. Administrative approval has been granted for works worth ₹68.73 crore, aimed at strengthening stormwater drainage infrastructure and reducing the risk of flooding in the area.
A total of 37 flood mitigation works will be taken up using State Disaster Mitigation Fund (SDMF) resources. Of these, 26 works in the Mangalagiri division have been allocated ₹33 crore, while 11 works in the Tadepalli division have been sanctioned ₹35.73 crore. The measures are focused on improving stormwater drainage and strengthening flood management infrastructure.
