Arvind Kejriwal Alleges Instagram Restrictions in India

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has alleged that his Instagram account has been restricted exclusively in India. In a post on X, he claimed that despite sending multiple emails to Meta's India office, he had not received any clear explanation regarding the restrictions or the process for restoring normal access to his account.

Kejriwal further alleged that Meta was attempting to limit the visibility of his posts amid the ongoing E20 petrol controversy and accused the company of yielding to pressure from the Prime Minister. He also criticized Meta's customer support, describing its services as inadequate. Meta has not issued an official response to the allegations. The controversy comes after Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg had earlier apologized to the Indian government over the temporary removal of a video featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
