Asian Games Double Gold Medalist Chikita Receives Grand Welcome in Hyderabad

Telangana archer Taniparthi Chikita received a warm and grand welcome at Shamshabad Airport after returning to Hyderabad with two gold medals from the 2026 Asian Games held in Japan. Chikita emerged as one of Telangana’s sporting stars by delivering a memorable performance in archery and bringing two gold medals to the state from the international sporting event.

The reception was organised by the Sports Authority of Telangana. MLC Balmuri Venkat, Sports Authority officials Ashok Kumar, Srinivas, Kannam Madhu and Suresh Kaleru, Telangana Olympic Association secretary Mallareddy, and Archery Association president and secretary T. Raju and Aravind were among those who attended and congratulated the champion. Chikita and her parents were also felicitated during the event. Officials and representatives of various sports associations praised her achievement and her contribution to Telangana’s sporting success.
