Auto Mutation for Inherited Lands, Key Decision by AP Government

The Andhra Pradesh government has taken a key decision to simplify the transfer process of inherited agricultural lands. Under the new auto mutation system, heirs will no longer need to visit revenue offices for mutation procedures. Once the registration process is completed, the names of legal heirs will be automatically updated in revenue records.

The government has also reduced the stamp duty for inherited lands valued up to Rs.10 lakh to just Rs.100. In cases where there is no will, submission of a Family Member Certificate (FMC) during registration has been made mandatory. With these measures, the government aims to make land transfer procedures faster and more convenient for citizens.
