The Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital and Research Institute has completed 25 years of dedicated service, emerging as one of India's leading comprehensive cancer care centers. Established with the vision of making advanced cancer treatment accessible and affordable for common people, the institution was founded under the inspiration of the late Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao. Inaugurated in 2000 by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee with 100 beds, the hospital has grown into a 650-bed state-of-the-art cancer treatment and research facility, providing world-class medical care on a non-profit basis.
Today, the hospital serves nearly 300,000 outpatients and 90,000 inpatients annually, offering advanced treatment backed by compassion and service. Under the stewardship of Nandamuri Balakrishna, the institution continues to uphold its mission as a center of excellence in cancer care. The Silver Jubilee celebrations will be held in Hyderabad on Monday, with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, healthcare experts, donors, and distinguished guests expected to attend the event.
