Discussions over a major reshuffle in the Union Cabinet have intensified, with reports suggesting that the exercise could take place on June 28 or June 29. According to political sources, Union Home Minister Amit Shah recently met President Droupadi Murmu to discuss the possible schedule. Several senior ministers are reportedly likely to see changes in their portfolios, while the government is also considering inducting fresh faces in line with the aspirations of the younger generation.
Former RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das is among the names being discussed for a Cabinet berth. Reports also suggest that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman could be moved to the Education Ministry, while changes may affect ministers including Dharmendra Pradhan, Hardeep Singh Puri, and Manohar Lal Khattar. Anurag Thakur may return to the Cabinet, while leaders such as Shrikant Shinde, Arun Govil, Vishnudutt Sharma, Janardan Singh Sigriwal, and Tarun Chugh are also being considered.
