Bird Flu Outbreak in Anantapur

Bird flu has triggered concern in Anantapur district after around 2,000 chickens died in Siddarampuram village. Officials from the district animal husbandry department have stepped up surveillance following the deaths. Samples collected from the affected poultry were sent to a laboratory in Bhopal for testing, and authorities were alerted after the samples returned positive for bird flu.

Officials have initiated measures to prevent the spread of the infection and are closely monitoring the situation. Awareness campaigns and rallies are being conducted to educate the public about precautionary measures. People are also being advised to stay away from chicken for some time as a precaution while authorities continue efforts to contain the outbreak.
