Booth Level Officers (BLOs) in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are reportedly facing significant pressure during the ongoing voter verification and enumeration process. Identifying voters who are no longer available at their registered addresses has become a major challenge, particularly in urban constituencies. Field staff are struggling to trace such voters and distribute enumeration forms within the stipulated timeframe.
At the same time, officials are said to be working under strict targets, including visiting up to 300 households per day. Reports indicate that several constituencies still have a large number of unmapped voters, while thousands of records remain pending in others. BLOs have urged authorities to provide additional support staff and resources, while also expressing concerns over the lack of adequate honorariums for the work being carried out.
