

Liquor shops and bars in several parts of Hyderabad will remain closed in view of the Bonalu festival. As part of the security arrangements, the Charminar zone will observe a two-day liquor shutdown from 10 am on August 9 to 10 am on August 11. Police authorities have directed all wine shops and bars within the specified areas to remain closed during this period.
In Rajendranagar, Golconda and Malkajgiri areas, liquor shops will remain shut for 24 hours from August 9 to August 10. In Cyberabad, establishments falling under the Kukatpally, Raidurgam and Jeedimetla police station limits will remain closed until 10 pm on August 9. The respective Police Commissioners have issued orders directing wine shops and bars to comply with the temporary closure as part of the Bonalu festival arrangements.
