BRS, Congress Making Empty Claims - Kishan Reddy

Union Minister Kishan Reddy criticized the BRS and Congress over paddy procurement, alleging that both parties have failed in effectively procuring grain. He said that if the two parties stage protests in Delhi over paddy procurement, the BJP would inform the public about the Centre's financial support for the scheme.

Kishan Reddy stated that the Central Government provides 70% of the funds for the fine rice distributed to the poor. He also said the Centre bears every rupee of the cost incurred from paddy procurement to its delivery to the Food Corporation of India (FCI). He alleged that while the Centre has been extending support, the BRS government earlier and the present Congress government have failed in paddy procurement.
