

A devastating pair of earthquakes in Venezuela has left several families shattered, including Argentine footballer Lucas Trejo, who tragically lost his wife and two children. The building where his family was staying collapsed during the quake, burying them under debris. Their deaths were confirmed by his football club Deportivo La Guaira. At the time of the disaster, Trejo was away with his team, which saved his life. On hearing the news, he rushed to the site and desperately searched through the rubble, an emotional scene that deeply moved many.
The earthquakes severely impacted the Yaracuy region, destroying multiple buildings and affecting over 6 million people. Reports suggest more than 1,400 bodies have been recovered so far, while thousands remain missing. International aid efforts are ongoing, with Brazilian football star Neymar donating $250,000 to support relief operations. The crisis has left entire coastal areas devastated, with collapsed hotels and destroyed infrastructure highlighting the scale of the disaster.
