The Union Cabinet has approved two major national highway projects worth ₹14,115 crore to strengthen road connectivity in the country. The Cabinet cleared the construction of a 6 lane Dwarka Tunnel in Delhi at a cost of ₹6,970 crore, aiming to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion in the national capital.
The Cabinet also approved the construction of a 4 lane access controlled highway between Kanpur and Kabrai in Uttar Pradesh at an estimated cost of ₹7,145 crore. The new highway is expected to improve connectivity, reduce travel time, and boost regional economic development.
