The Central Government has reportedly raised objections to the Andhra Pradesh Government's proposal to construct a new AP Bhavan in New Delhi. Officials pointed out that the land survey between the Andhra Pradesh Bhavan and Telangana Bhavan has not yet been completed, making it inappropriate to proceed with construction before finalizing the boundaries.
Although the Andhra Pradesh Cabinet approved the new building, allocated funds, and entrusted the construction work to the National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC), the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has not granted permission. The Centre has advised the state government to complete the pending survey and resolve boundary issues before moving ahead with the project.
