

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has called upon IIT alumni to contribute their expertise and build a strong network for the development of the state and the country. Speaking at the PanIIT Andhra Pradesh Summit 2026 in Vijayawada on October 3, he said the IIT ecosystem could play an important role in advancing the goals of Swarna Andhra and Viksit Bharat. Naidu announced plans for a PanIIT Amaravati Council and a ₹500-crore PanIIT Amaravati Venture Fund aimed at supporting DeepTech startups, innovation and investments. He also unveiled five Q-Shiva quantum computers developed by Qubit Force, intended for use as mini quantum-computing testing labs, along with a 4-Kelvin processor. The Chief Minister said Amaravati was developing infrastructure for a quantum technology ecosystem and stressed the need to strengthen research, skills, manufacturing and technology transfer. The two-day summit brought together representatives from IITs, industry, startups and the investment community. Discussions covered DeepTech, quantum computing, AI, space and aerospace, defence manufacturing, healthcare, AgriTech, water security, clean energy and technology-enabled governance. Naidu also proposed making the PanIIT summit an annual event and called for greater collaboration between IITs, educational institutions, industry and the state government.
