

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu held a monthly review meeting on the Amaravati capital works with officials and representatives of contracting agencies on Tuesday. He directed the authorities to prepare a plan to execute works worth Rs 2,000 crore every month in the capital region. Minister P. Narayana said 41,000 workers are currently engaged in 152 projects being taken up in Amaravati. Officials informed the CM that works worth Rs 1,345 crore were completed during the last month, following which he asked them to raise the monthly value to Rs 2,000 crore.
Chandrababu also directed officials to expedite the Outer Ring Road project along with the ongoing capital construction works and coordinate with the Centre for its progress. He stressed that all projects should be completed swiftly without compromising on quality and warned against any negligence or delays. The CM said there should be no delay in the construction of iconic structures, including the Secretariat towers and Assembly building. He also emphasised the need to provide modern skills to construction-sector workers through training on the lines of the National Academy of Construction.
