Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy congratulated the NIMS medical team for achieving the milestone of 1,000 robotic surgeries within just two-and-a-half years. He lauded NIMS Director Dr. Rahul Devaraj, the doctors, nursing staff, and the operation theatre team for their dedication and commitment in delivering advanced healthcare services to the people.
The Chief Minister said the achievement reflects the government's vision of making cutting-edge medical treatment accessible in public hospitals. He especially appreciated the fact that more than 90% of the robotic surgeries were performed free of cost under the Aarogyasri and Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF) schemes. He also noted that after recently completing 2,000 kidney transplant surgeries, NIMS has now reached another remarkable milestone and expressed hope that the institute will continue to set new benchmarks in healthcare.
