Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said Mahatma Gandhi, who led India’s freedom struggle by making non-violence his weapon, was a great leader who taught humanity the values of truth, peace and compassion. On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, the Chief Minister recalled Gandhi’s contributions and said his principles continue to inspire society.
Revanth Reddy said truth, non-violence, self-reliance, village self-governance and social equality formed the foundation of Gandhi’s ideals. He stated that these principles were central to people-centric governance in Telangana. The government’s objective, he said, was to take the state forward on the path of peace, social justice, equality and development inspired by Gandhi’s principles of truth and non-violence. Practising his ideals would be the true tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, he added.
