

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 notification, offering a significant opportunity for science graduates and research aspirants across India. Conducted on behalf of CSIR and UGC, the examination serves as a gateway for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor positions, and PhD admissions. The test covers five major subjects, including Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences.
Candidates qualifying for JRF can receive a monthly fellowship of ₹37,000 for the first two years and ₹42,000 as Senior Research Fellowship thereafter. Applications will be accepted until June 19, 2026, while the examination is scheduled for July 17 and 18, 2026. Eligible postgraduate students and final-year candidates can apply through the official portal. The examination remains one of India's most prestigious opportunities for students aiming to build careers in research, higher education, and academia.
