Delhi High Court Asks Kavitha to Approach EC Over Party Name Dispute

Telangana Rakshana Samithi president Kavitha filed a petition in the Delhi High Court seeking approval for the registration of her party under the name "Telangana Rakshana Samithi." She requested the court to direct the Election Commission to allot the proposed party name.

The Delhi High Court, however, advised Kavitha to first submit an appropriate response to the objections raised by the Election Commission before approaching the court. The bench observed that entertaining the petition at this stage would amount to interfering with the Election Commission's statutory functions and noted that serious objections had been raised regarding the party's registration.
