BJP MP Eatala Rajendar has made serious allegations against several IAS officers in Telangana. He alleged that some officials were deliberately placing land parcels on the prohibited list under the direction of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and later removing the restrictions after receiving clarification from the Chief Minister or people associated with him.
Rajender cited the collectors of Siddipet, Mahabubabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri and Sangareddy as examples. He alleged that such practices were taking place particularly in areas where land values were high and claimed that the exercise was aimed at collecting money from affected landowners. He said victims were being forced to repeatedly visit collectorates and sub registrar offices to get their land issues resolved. The allegations have been made by Rajendar, and the concerned officials and the Chief Minister’s office have yet to respond.
