Tamil Nadu Finance Minister Wilson presented the state budget in the Assembly, announcing several welfare and development initiatives. The government introduced a scheme to provide gold rings to children born in government hospitals and allocated Rs. 560 crore for the “Mena Mama Gold Gift Scheme”.
The budget also includes Rs. 125 crore for repairs and improvements in government schools and Rs. 2,000 crore for Generation Z students. The announcements focused on strengthening education, supporting students, and expanding welfare measures across the state.
