Torrential rains have triggered devastating floods across parts of Arunachal Pradesh, severely affecting the Subansiri and Keyi Panyor districts. The relentless downpour has claimed at least five lives, while several others remain missing. Floodwaters have submerged residential areas, washed away houses and caused extensive damage to roads and public infrastructure, disrupting normal life across the affected regions.
Rescue and relief operations are underway as disaster response teams continue searching for the missing and shifting stranded residents to safer locations. Several bridges have either collapsed or been washed away, leaving many villages cut off from the rest of the state. Authorities have urged residents in vulnerable areas to remain alert and follow official advisories as heavy rainfall is expected to continue.
