Rapid snowmelt in Himachal Pradesh has triggered floods in several areas, causing significant damage to infrastructure. In the Lahaul Valley, the strategically important Manali-Leh Highway has been severely affected, disrupting road connectivity. Transport services to Udaipur and the Mayar Valley have been completely cut off, leaving residents facing major difficulties.
The flooding has damaged several bridges and washed away multiple roads across the region. While authorities are working to restore connectivity and carry out relief operations, local residents have erected temporary iron bridges in some areas to maintain essential movement. Officials continue to monitor the situation closely and are taking necessary measures to restore normalcy.
