

Health Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha announced that the Telangana government is speeding up arrangements to launch full-fledged medical services soon at Dr. Marri Channa Reddy Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (Dr. MCR TIMS). The minister reviewed the ongoing trial run, infrastructure facilities, medical equipment, recruitment of doctors and staff, and preparedness of various departments.
The minister said TIMS is being developed as one of the most advanced government super-speciality healthcare institutions in the country. He directed officials to ensure smooth coordination among OP, IP, emergency services, ICUs, operation theatres, diagnostic units, laboratories, pharmacy, and IT systems. He added that TIMS will provide corporate-level healthcare services to the poor and help reduce the burden on major government hospitals like NIMS, Gandhi, and Osmania.
