Funds under the PM Kisan scheme and the Annadata Sukhibhava scheme were credited to farmers' bank accounts within hours of their release by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. According to Agriculture Department officials, by 5 p.m. on Saturday, 100 percent of PM Kisan funds and 99.80 percent of Annadata Sukhibhava funds had reached the beneficiaries.
Officials said the remaining payments, delayed due to technical reasons, would be credited within the next four to five days. Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the PM Kisan funds from Tarakeswar in West Bengal. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu watched the Prime Minister's address on a large LED screen at the venue and joined the public meeting only after the speech concluded.
