GHMC Town Planning Supervisor Caught by ACB

GHMC Town Planning Supervisor Sunitha, posted at Mehdipatnam Circle-33, was caught by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 4 lakh. According to ACB officials, she had demanded Rs 8 lakh from a person in exchange for not stopping construction work on a building. She was caught during an ACB operation while receiving the first instalment of Rs 4 lakh.

The ACB seized the Rs 4 lakh bribe amount from Sunitha. Officials also recovered an additional Rs 2.5 lakh in cash from her possession, which was suspected to be unaccounted money. The accused was subsequently produced before the ACB Special Court. Further investigation into the case is underway.
