The flood flow in the Godavari River has started receding near Bhadrachalam, bringing some relief to officials and residents. The river is currently flowing at 38.70 feet, with an estimated 7,50,069 cusecs of water passing through the river. Authorities, however, continue to closely monitor the situation.
Flood discharge has also reduced near Rajamahendravaram and Dowleswaram Barrage. Although the water level has fallen to 13.50 feet at the barrage, the first warning signal remains in force as a precaution. Officials have advised people living in low-lying areas to remain alert until water levels return to normal.
