The Telangana government has taken the Godavari Pushkaralu 2027 as a prestigious event, with the state allocating Rs. 1,000 crore for the arrangements. At a Cabinet Sub-Committee meeting held at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat under the chairmanship of IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu, the progress of preparations by various departments was reviewed. The minister directed officials to complete the tender process by the end of August and ensure that works begin in the first week of September.
Sridhar Babu instructed officials to appoint special officers for Tier-1 locations expected to witness heavy pilgrim footfall and establish command control centres at key locations. He stressed that works must be completed within the stipulated deadlines without compromising quality and asked senior officials to conduct regular field inspections. He also directed the Endowments Department to introduce a dedicated dashboard for daily monitoring of work progress. The minister called for coordination among all departments, seamless road connectivity, involvement of local representatives, collectors, SPs, district officials and priests, and advance identification of voluntary and private organisations willing to provide services to devotees. He warned that negligence in Pushkaralu arrangements would invite strict action.
