

Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla will visit Medak district today. He is scheduled to reach the Medak Integrated District Offices Complex at 2:30 pm and inaugurate the Nasha Mukt Bharat rally at 2:40 pm. He will later interact with students, visit the Mahila Shakti stalls at the IDOC and meet members of self-help groups. The Governor will also hold a meeting with the newly elected representatives of the Red Cross.
As part of his visit, the Governor will launch a plantation programme along a national highway, described as the first of its kind in the country. The initiative aims to promote environmental protection and increase green cover. A total of 35,000 cashew saplings will be planted along NH-765DG between Ramayampet and Siddipet under the leadership of MP Madhavaneni Raghunandan Rao. The Governor will inaugurate the programme at 3:30 pm near the Swami Vivekananda statue close to Amogh Hotel in Ramayampet and plant saplings.
