

Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy welcomed the allocation of the PKOC-2 (Prakasam Khani Open Cast) Deepside Coal Block near Manuguru in Bhadradri Kothagudem district to Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL). He described it as a significant milestone for the company, saying it fulfils a long-standing aspiration and would strengthen Singareni's long-term growth. He congratulated Singareni employees, trade unions, officials, and the people of Telangana on the development.
Kishan Reddy stated that the coal block is estimated to contain around 180 million tonnes of coal reserves and is expected to produce 6 million tonnes annually over a period of 25 years. He said the project is likely to generate employment for nearly 2,000 people, create revenue exceeding ₹43,000 crore, and contribute more than ₹10,500 crore to the state government. He added that the allocation of three coal blocks to SCCL would strengthen Telangana's energy security, industrial growth, and employment opportunities.
