High Court Issues Directions to SIT in Sai Krishna Case

The High Court has directed the SIT to submit a status report on the Sai Krishna custodial death case in a sealed cover. The bench emphasized the need for clarity on the progress of the investigation, triggering fresh debate over transparency in the probe.

Senior counsel Ponnavolu argued that despite allegations involving the DGP and Vijayawada Commissioner, the SIT is limiting the investigation only to CI Nagaraju. Expressing lack of confidence in the SIT probe, he stated that the truth would emerge only through an independent investigation.
