High Court Seeks Additional Evidence in DSC Case

The Andhra Pradesh High Court has sought additional evidence in a public interest litigation (PIL) alleging large-scale irregularities in the DSC-2025 teacher recruitment process. The court directed petitioner and YSRCP MLC Parvatha Reddy Chandrasekhar Reddy to submit proof supporting claims that the government warned of civil and criminal action against those speaking publicly about the alleged irregularities. It also asked for clarity on including affected candidates as respondents in the case and adjourned the hearing by two weeks.

During the hearing, the petitioner's counsel argued that fear of government action had discouraged affected candidates from approaching the court and alleged that the recruitment process was marred by systemic irregularities. The Advocate General, representing the state, informed the court that 335 writ petitions challenging the DSC recruitment process had already been filed and that candidate selection details were available online. After hearing both sides, the High Court deferred further proceedings.
