

An infiltration attempt was reported along the India-Pakistan border in Punjab’s Tarn Taran district, according to officials. Border Security Force (BSF) personnel noticed suspicious movement and issued warnings to the individuals, but they allegedly continued moving towards the Indian side. The BSF subsequently opened fire after the warnings were reportedly ignored.
Two suspected infiltrators were killed in the firing, while another individual managed to escape towards Pakistan, according to the information available. Following the incident, security forces intensified surveillance and searches in the border area.
