A historic moment was witnessed at the Noida International Airport as around 170 farmers from Jewar, including 20 women, became among the first passengers to fly from the newly operational airport to Lucknow. Many of them experienced air travel for the first time, making the occasion highly emotional and memorable.
The farmers, whose land was used for the airport project, later met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Officials highlighted that the airport stands as a symbol of transformation for the region, turning agricultural land into a major international aviation hub expected to boost connectivity, investment, and employment opportunities.
