The Housing Board has begun preparations for the construction of one lakh houses within the Core Urban Region Expansion (CURE) area, covering regions inside the Outer Ring Road (ORR). As part of the initiative, authorities are inviting the public to suggest a suitable name for the upcoming housing scheme. The project is expected to play a significant role in expanding affordable and planned housing infrastructure in the city.
Housing Board Vice Chairman Gautham announced that the best name selected for the scheme will be awarded a cash prize of ₹1 lakh. Citizens can submit their suggestions until June 28. Participants have been encouraged to send their entries through the official Instagram page, tghd.official, making the naming process more interactive and inclusive.
