Hyderabad to Host Major Defence Expo and Air Show

Hyderabad will host a major ‘Raksha Expo’ during the ‘Invest Telangana’ Global Summit, scheduled for December 7–9, Telangana Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju has announced. An air show is also planned for December 9 as part of the event. Reviewing preparations for the expo, Jaju said Hyderabad is home to around 30 per cent of companies operating in the defence and aviation sectors, highlighting the city’s importance in India’s aerospace and defence ecosystem.

The Raksha Expo is expected to provide a platform to promote the growth of Telangana’s defence and aerospace industries and attract investments from India and abroad, Jaju said. National and international defence organisations, arms manufacturers and aerospace companies are being invited to participate. The event is intended to showcase the state’s industrial capabilities, encourage business partnerships and strengthen Hyderabad’s position as a major hub for defence and aerospace activities.
