ICC for Women Employees' Safety..Telangana Government Takes Key Decision

The Telangana government has issued key orders to strengthen workplace safety for women employees by constituting an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) in the Shakti (Labour) Department. The decision has been taken as part of the implementation of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 (POSH Act).

The committee has been constituted in compliance with Supreme Court directions. Deputy Secretary M.G. Madhavi has been appointed as the Presiding Officer of the ICC. The committee will inquire into complaints of sexual harassment filed by women employees and submit its findings and recommendations to the government.
