US Senator Steve Daines described India as a trusted ally of the United States, stating that the strong relationship between the two nations benefits not only both countries but also the global community. Explaining the difference in security trust between India and China, he said he never carries his mobile phone while visiting China, leaving it at home due to security concerns. However, he confidently takes his phone during visits to India, saying he trusts New Delhi far more than Beijing.
Daines also clarified that the United States does not intend to completely sever ties with China but will continue relations while reducing strategic risks. He expressed confidence that a bilateral trade agreement between India and the US would be finalized soon, adding that the deal would strengthen economic cooperation and serve the national interests of both countries.
