Indiramma Houses Within Habitations: CM Orders

Revanth Reddy directed officials to ensure that Indiramma housing projects under the CURE area are developed within habitation limits to support livelihoods. During a high-level review, he instructed authorities to identify unused government lands within the Outer Ring Road limits belonging to departments such as police, revenue, and transport. He emphasized reallocating alternative land to these departments while using idle land for housing. The Chief Minister noted that constructing houses far from residential zones could impact employment opportunities and lead to underutilization.

The government plans to build Indiramma houses for the urban poor across multiple constituencies, with each flat measuring around 528 sq ft and a carpet area of 400 sq ft. The estimated cost per unit is ₹11 lakh, with a subsidy of ₹5 lakh provided by the government, while beneficiaries will contribute ₹6 lakh. The land cost will be fully borne by the government. In the first phase, 7,680 flats will be constructed across 17 constituencies including Rajendranagar, Maheshwaram, Serilingampally, Ibrahimpatnam, Malkajgiri, Nampally, Khairatabad, Jubilee Hills, Karwan, Bahadurpura, Amberpet, Kukatpally, Medchal, Quthbullapur, Sanathnagar, Secunderabad Cantonment, and Malakpet.
